What this article will cover:
What is Real Estate Content Marketing?
Real estate content marketing or marketing content is a strategic marketing approach. It is the process of creating and distributing content that is relevant to your ideal client, and to create and distribute that content on a regular basis.
Traditional marketing involved pitching your products, services and offerings to the masses. Content marketing is a more tactical and deliberate approach. It’s more customer focused, more successful and far less costly.
During the past 10 years or so, content marketing has become prevalent across almost every industry imaginable. Real estate agents have been slow to embrace real estate content marketing as a genuine method of lead generation.

His aim was not to promote his own products but to be a genuine resource to others. Between 1895 – 2015 the Company name was only mentioned a total of 13-15 times. Have a look at the image below to see how that worked out for them,

Remember back when Rate My Agent first entered the online space? Agents could build a profile on the platform for free. Initially there were only a handful of agents who bothered to list themselves there.
As the site grew in popularity it became a crowded space. The platform is no longer free and once again agents are basically being held to ransom by third party sites.
But Rate My Agent are not the only one. Many so-called agent resources require a financial investment to boost or optimise your profile. If you do not pay you don’t get shown online.
You will never with the online battle without your own website. Unless you are prepared to pay monthly subscriptions to the major portals and third-party sites.
It’s not difficult to start a blog and it is far less expensive than the traditional methods of content marketing. If you are an agent that is struggling to gain traction in your market you need to consider what this will bring to your business.
